Geography Culture

Geography:
I live in Oregon so this greatly affects my clothing because I always have my North Face raincoat handy. Another way it affects my clothing is that I wear Nike, which is an Oregon based company. It also affects my transportation because Portland is a very bike friendly city, so I am always biking everywhere, rain or shine.

Gender Culture

Gender:

I am female and that fact has greatly impacted my outlook on life. It affects my definition of beauty and intelligence by owning and wearing make up in an attempt to change my appearance and multiple hair products to try to tame my unruly curls. It also affects my clothing style because I can and do wear dresses, skirts, and sky-high heels.

Religion Culture

Religion:
 A culture that greatly affects my life is my religion. I am Catholic, which is a branch of Christianity. This affects my clothing because I wear a gold cross necklaces to show my belief in Jesus. It also affects my non-verbal communication because in and outside of church I make the sign of the cross on my body. A lot of my personal values reflect back to my beliefs such as the need to be a good person and to stand up for others.
